faq

questions.

every question about pluto, the Minecraft: Java Edition client, with its answer. new here? start with what pluto is.

general

what is pluto?

a ghost client for Minecraft: Java Edition, 1.20.6 to 26.3. it uses simulated inputs and human timing to stay undetected, and its defaults are tuned to feel natural out of the box.

what are modules?

pluto's features. you switch each one on in the menu and tune it on its own page there. the home page lists every module with its settings.

can i unload it without closing the game?

yes. unload pluto in its settings and it takes itself out of the running game. it's back the next time you start Minecraft.

who makes pluto?

foxiberry, independently. pluto isn't affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft or any server.

is pluto the same as other projects called pluto client?

no. pluto is made by foxiberry and lives at pluto.lgbt. it isn't affiliated with the open-source Pluto-Client repository on GitHub, or with any other project with a similar name.

is it open source?

no.

where do i get help?

on Discord, or at support@pluto.lgbt. i'm around monday to friday, 09:00 to 18:00 CET, usually within two business days. nightly testers can send feedback from test builds.

rules

can i get banned for using it?

yes, if the server doesn't allow clients like this. check their rules. i can't undo a server ban.

what happens if a server bans me?

that's between you and the server, and i can't lift or influence it. a ban isn't by itself a reason for a refund, and it doesn't affect any right you have by law if i fail to deliver what you paid for.

what if my account is suspended?

sign in. your case reference is on your dashboard, appeal there or send it to support. i review it myself.

privacy

does pluto scan my computer?

no. it checks itself. if a check fails it sends a short report, and the privacy policy lists what's in it.

can pluto see my chat or screen?

no. it doesn't collect your chat, keystrokes, screen or the servers you join.

what data do you keep?

account details, a few identifiers of your computer stored only as hashes, records of logins, resets and build downloads, your settings and profiles, and a short report if one of pluto's checks fails. never the servers you join, your playtime, your chat or your screen. the privacy policy has the full list.

do you sell my data or track me on the website?

no. i don't sell personal data, and the site has no advertising trackers or analytics scripts.

do you store my payment details?

no. a third-party crypto payment processor handles payments, and i never see your wallet's keys or seed.

how do i delete my account and data?

email privacy@pluto.lgbt with your username and i'll reply within a month. erasing data that an active license depends on ends the license. the privacy policy lists your rights and how long each record is kept.

before you buy

do i need to own Minecraft?

yes, your own copy of Minecraft: Java Edition. pluto doesn't replace it.

what do i need installed?

Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and the Java version your Minecraft needs. pluto runs as a Fabric mod.

which versions and systems does it run on?

Minecraft: Java Edition 1.20.6 to 26.3, except 1.21.9, on windows, macos and linux. you pick your version when you download the launcher, and it brings the right build for your system and chip.

does it work in a virtual machine?

no. pluto binds your license to your real hardware, so virtual machines aren't supported.

how old do i have to be?

18 or older.

is pluto available in my country?

in most places. it isn't available where sanctions law forbids it, and sign-ups are checked by country.

can i buy it yet?

not yet. checkout isn't open, so nobody can buy a plan or be charged. join the Discord to hear when it opens.

using it

stable or nightly?

stable gets tested releases. nightly gets new builds, modules and compatibility updates first, and lets you send feedback on test builds.

can i switch between stable and nightly?

nightly includes stable, so on nightly you can pick either one in the launcher. on stable you can upgrade to nightly at any time and pay the difference for the time you have left.

how do updates work?

automatically. the launcher fetches your build each time the game starts, so there's nothing to update by hand.

what happens when Minecraft updates?

nightly gets compatibility updates within a few days. stable gets them later, once they've been tested. versions the game no longer supports aren't guaranteed.

how many computers can i use?

one computer per license, and one game session at a time. your license binds on your first login.

what counts as changing computers?

your license is tied to your computer's hardware. replacing a part usually doesn't matter. on a new computer, reset the binding from your dashboard. you can do that once every 7 days.

do i need an internet connection?

yes. pluto signs you in at launch and checks in every few minutes while you play. if it can't reach us for a while, it stops.

can i share my settings?

yes. share any profile from the menu as a 12-character code. whoever imports it sees what it changes first, and it's saved as a new profile.

billing

how does paying work?

pay once in crypto for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. euros, vat included. nothing renews, so there's nothing to cancel.

how much is it?

stable is €8 for a month, €21 for 3 months, €33 for 6 months or €48 for a year. nightly is twice that: €16, €42, €66 or €96. prices include VAT.

can i get a refund?

in several cases: you were charged by mistake, pluto doesn't work as described, or i end a plan you paid for. in the EU and UK you agree at checkout to immediate delivery, which ends the 14-day withdrawal right once delivery starts, but your statutory rights stay. see the refund policy.

is there a free trial?

no.

can i share or sell my license?

no. a license is for one person and one computer, and can't be lent, sold or transferred.
